I recently stayed at Les Gites Du Vieux Frene for a peaceful getaway in the heart of the Somme. The location was outstandingly beautiful and provided a tranquil atmosphere. It was the perfect base for exploring the region's history and enjoying outdoor activities like cycling and walking. The gite itself was well-equipped with a charming host, ample parking, and a relaxing atmosphere. I especially enjoyed the lovely breakfast bar and the safe, scenic cycling routes in all directions.
Strongly recommend this hotel.

The owner is super friendly, speaks good English, and provides all bedding. The gite has a washing machine, tumble dryer, and free parking. It's incredibly peaceful and perfect for exploring WW1 sites like the Somme and Hindenburg line.

Lovely host, offered own garage for bikes. Quiet location with peaceful views of Somme fields. Great bike trails to Peronne. Good base for visiting WW1 sights. Ideal for those travelling by car.
Felt so comfortable, no complaints whatsoever.
